Privacy policy

Last updated 23 October 2026. This policy explains how I process personal data if you visit the website, contact me, book a meeting or take part in a recruitment assignment.

Who is the data controller

The data controller is High On Hire, represented by Jan Konstantin Rosenby, Rønbjerghage 12, 7620 Lemvig, Denmark, CVR 44712350.

You can contact me at jkr@highonhire.com or on +45 20 14 64 68.

When you visit the website

The website uses no tools for statistics, marketing or tracking, and it does not load fonts or other resources from third parties.

The hosting provider may record technical information in server logs, for example IP address, time, page visited and browser type. This is done for operation and security and is based on my legitimate interest in a stable and secure website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). The information is kept only for as long as necessary for this purpose.

When you contact me or book a meeting

If you write to me, call me, message me on LinkedIn or book a meeting, I process the information you give me. This is typically your name, email, phone number, company, job title and the content of your message.

Booking is done through Microsoft Bookings. When you click a booking button, you leave this website and go to a page provided by Microsoft. Microsoft processes your information for the booking as my data processor, and Microsoft may use its own cookies on that page.

The purpose is to respond to your enquiry and prepare a possible collaboration. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) (steps at your request before entering into an agreement) and Article 6(1)(f) (my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running my business).

I delete enquiries that do not lead to a collaboration no later than 12 months after the last contact, unless we have agreed otherwise.

You are not obliged to give me any information. Without it, however, I cannot respond to your enquiry or complete a booking.

Clients and contact persons

When a company becomes my client, I process information about its contact persons in order to deliver and invoice the assignment. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(c) (compliance with legal obligations, including the Danish Bookkeeping Act).

Accounting records are kept for five years after the end of the financial year they relate to. I delete other client information when it is no longer needed.

Candidates and people I contact in a search

As a recruitment partner I process information about candidates. This may include name, contact details, CV, career history, education, motivation, salary expectations and my own assessments and notes.

The information comes from you, from publicly available sources such as LinkedIn, or from people who recommend you. If I contact you based on publicly available information, I tell you so in my first message and refer you to this policy.

The legal basis for finding and contacting relevant candidates is my legitimate interest and my client's legitimate interest in filling a position (Article 6(1)(f)). I ask for your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) before I share your profile with a client, before I take up references, and if I am to keep your information for future opportunities.

I delete candidate information no later than six months after the assignment has ended, unless you have consented to longer retention. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and you can ask me to delete your information at any time.

Who receives the information

I never sell personal data. Information may be processed by the following recipients when necessary.

  • Microsoft as provider of email, calendar, Bookings and file storage
  • The provider that hosts the website
  • Providers of bookkeeping and accounting
  • LinkedIn, if you contact me there, in which case LinkedIn's own terms apply
  • My client, but only if you as a candidate have accepted that your profile is shared
  • Public authorities, if I am legally required to do so

Transfers outside the EU and EEA

Some providers may process information outside the EU and EEA, for example in the United States. This only happens where there is a valid transfer mechanism, for example the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Security

I protect information with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access control and encrypted services. At High On Hire I am the only person with access to the information.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information I process about you and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask for restriction of processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your information in a common format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before.

Write to jkr@highonhire.com if you wish to exercise your rights. I will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I handle your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, dt@datatilsynet.dk, www.datatilsynet.dk. I would, however, like the chance to resolve it with you first.

Changes

I update this policy when my processing of information changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
